Summary0001969: Provide an additional setting to Play sound when download starts
DescriptionI have set my browser (Brave) to download pdf files instead of opening (viewing) them inside the browser.
I typically use this feature to download research papers (pdf files) from Google Scholar or Google.

But there is a problem: When I click on many links, they do not respond at all.
There is a four-step work-around:
1. Use context menu of the link, and copy the link.
2. Open a new tab.
3. Paste the link from clipboard in the address bar.
4. Close the new tab (it was just needed temporarily)

But there is a further problem: I have to watch each link closely to see if the download has started or not.
I know that CDM provides some visual clues:
1. An animated "download" arrow icon pops up'
However, this appears only for a split-second, and easy to miss.

2. The CDM icon in the toolbar shows an increment in the number of downloads number
However, a typical research file is so tiny that the download is completed in a split-second.
    Again, very easy to miss.

Worse, if the download is a large file, then I cannot wait for the sound notification when the download completes.
Besides, since I click on a large number of links, their "download completed" notifications would get mixed up.

Thus, regardless of small or large downloads, the existing visual/audible notifications do not serve the purpose.

Therefore, it would be great if CDM plays a sound when the download STARTS.
That way, it would not be necessary to constantly look out for momentary clues.
