| Summary | 0001953: Chrome doesn't save last download location | ||||
| Description | After installing and running Chrono Download Manager, Chrome stopped saving the last download location. of course I set this option in the settings of Chrome, and it doesn't work. as soon as I disable this extension, every is working fine with last download location, so this is because of this extension... | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Windows 10, latest version of Chrome. - install and enable the extension - set Chrome to always ask for a download location - download something and notice the selected destination folder for this download - now download something again. notice that the last selected folder for download is not saved - disable the extension - download something again - notice that the save dialog is opened on the last selected folder | ||||

It's not just W10, I'm still using W7 and it's doing it. I've disabled the downloader for now. Fix it soon or I'll remove it. This is a use-killer bug. I want stuff put where I want it, not into some idiotic default directory so I have to go in and sort everything en-masse later on (this is one of the most annoying malfeatures of newer versions of windows, this desire to control where downloads go to |

More than a month since I opened this issue and there is a total disregard to it! Not even "thank you for your report, we will handle it soon" or something like that. And yes, this is a use-kill bug in the extension and it's too bad because basically this extension is awesome in potential. It has cool features and a great alternative to the default download manager of Chrome. It's just a shame that people will stop using it just because of this stupid bug that is not fixed now... |
